Sarah Jane Richardson is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and a recent graduate of The University of Alabama, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance. She is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Social Media Marketing, combining her passion for the arts with a strong interest in business and leadership within the dance industry.

 

Sarah Jane began dancing at Encore Performance Company at a young age, where she developed a lifelong love for dance and built the technical foundation that continues to shape her teaching today. Beyond her years at Encore, she has had the opportunity to tour with National Dance Honors, serving as an ACE. In this role, she traveled to conventions and competitions across the country while learning from industry professionals and gaining hands on experience within the industry.

 

On campus, she has had many performance opportunities with Emerging Choreographers Showcase as well as Dance Alabama! where she was elected to serve on the executive board as Advocacy Chair. As an educator, Sarah Jane is passionate about fostering a positive and encouraging classroom environment where dancers can grow both technically and artistically. Sarah Jane is excited to return to Encore as a teacher and share her knowledge and enthusiasm with the next generation of dancers.
