Katie Drozd’s passion for dance was sparked at a young age when she began ballet classes at a local dance studio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She continued her training at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts for both their high school and college program.

Upon graduation Katie joined the Alabama ballet as an apprentice and has since become a company member. She has danced lead roles in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® as Lead Marzipan, and Princess Florine in Sleeping Beauty, amongst many other ballets.

Katie has a comprehensive Classical Pilates certification and teaches dance and pilates classes in the Birmingham area. Her eager curiosity to grow both as an artist and a human propel Katie to keep learning and gaining new experiences.
