Hair must be worn in a secure bun. Please, no baggy t-shirts or shorts.
Attendance Policies: In order for students to progress in their dance education and maintain their class level, consistent attendance is important. In the event that a student has to miss a class, we ask that you directly e-mail the instructor or call the office. Please inform your instructor if you must miss a class ahead of time. Beginning in September, company members will be required to attend an alternate class or schedule a private lesson after two absences.
Make-up Class Policies: Students may make-up any missed classes in an alternate class. All students may make up missed classes by attending another class at or below their current level of study. Ballet Terminology: Learning ballet terminology is an important aspect of classical ballet training. Each ballet class at Encore will be assigned a list of terminology to help them better understand the meaning and technique behind each ballet step. Students are expected to review these terms throughout the year as each class will be periodically tested on the terms with a short multiple choice quiz. In addition, Intermediate-Advanced students will be asked to demonstrate a ballet step or short ballet combination with their multiple choice quiz. The terminology can be found on the following website under the designated class level:
https://sites.google.com/site/encoreballetterminology/home
Ballet Terminology Quizzes: All levels will be given terminology quizzes though the year. The quizzes are to help students enhance their ballet terminology skills.
